What is an IP 66 waterproof rating ?
The IP Code (Ingress Protection Rating) consists of the letters IP followed by two digits. The first digit refers to the protection against SOLIDS while the second digit refers to protection against LIQUIDS. All our waterproof luggage systems fully fulfill IP 66 criteria:

For LIQUIDS the rating of 6 ensures the bags contents are protected completely from powerful water jets. As defined in the code: water projected in powerful jets (12.5 mm nozzle) against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
Desert Fox Ballistics Nylon Luggage Range
Ballistics Nylon refers to a very specific type of nylon fabric that has been engineered for unrivalled abrasion & tear resistance. In fact, its original intended purpose was to protect aircraft personnel from shrapnel and other debris resulting from gunfire, artillery shell explosions, and other ballistic impacts. Ballistic nylon is used in chainsaw protective chaps which are made with plies of ballistic nylon inside that have the strength and tear resistance to stop the chain quickly.
